            Michael Duane Johnson, 60 years old, passed away peacefully from a stroke on Thursday, June 18, 2015, in The Woodlands surrounded by his loving family.


            A memorial service will be held at Crossroads Baptist Church, 5000 College Park Dr. Conroe, TX on Tuesday, June 23, 2015, at 10a.m. Visitation will be held at 9 a.m. at the church. The gravesite burial service will held at 4:30 p.m. at Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery, 7301 E. Lancaster Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76112.


            Michael was born in Kansas City, KS on February 8, 1955, to Barbara and Horace Johnson. He grew up in Amarillo, TX and later graduated from The University of Texas at Arlington. Michael began his 33-year career with Linbeck Construction Corp. in Fort Worth, TX in February of 1982. Although Michael constructed many beautiful buildings, his greatest accomplishments were building strong relationships with God, his family, and his friends. Michael will be remembered most for being an exceptional father, the love of his family, great hugs, his unique sense of humor, bold honesty, and passion for political issues.


            Michael is preceded in death by his mother Barbara and father Horace. As well as his adopted family A.O. Conner, Bert Conner and Eva Kroeschen. Michael is survived by his wife of 38 years, Carol Johnson, of The Woodlands; son Chadd and his wife Carrie of Arlington, TX; son Cory Johnson and his wife Jessica of Arlington, TX; son Clay of Lake Orion, MI; grandson Cade Johnson; granddaughters Allie and Caroline Johnson all of Arlington, TX; brothers Johnny Conner, Ronnie Conner, Butch Johnson, and Shawn Johnson; sisters Pat Marriott and Holly Johnson; numerous nieces, nephews, family members, and countless close friends.
